Growing up I’ve always have had a positive view of the police in some way shape or form but this has gotten me wondering. When something happens in the news about a cop and a perp I tend side with the cop most of the time and assume that people are just trying to make the police look bad. Although looking at the recent events it got me thinking about the state of the police in America. not that I agree with the ones Rioting but it made me think about the problems with the police, in the there has been some problems with crooked cops. Again it’s still in the vast minority that these cops exist, and that when they do anything it has more to do with them going on a power trip than anything else. But what I have noticed is that cops in many cases have been given either slaps in the wrists when they do something wrong or have just been given authority to do questionable things like no knock police raids. I still think we need to start using some force on the rioter to get them to prison until order can be restored. Im don't know as much on this as I want to so I want to know the community’s view on this. To me I think we just need reform for a stronger vetting process for cops and stricter punishment for when they get out of line.
